Job Description
Our client, a social services organization in NYC, is seeking a Vice President of Development to join their team. This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and involves working closely with senior leadership, the board, and staff to shape and drive the organization’s goals. The VP of Development will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to attract and secure funding, managing the development program, overseeing fundraising activities, and addressing any challenges to growth.
- Salary:Â Up to $150,000/year
- Location:Â New York, NY
- Work Model:Â Hybrid after 90 days, choose to WFH on Monday or Friday of each week

Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a philanthropic culture within the organization, ensuring fundraising efforts align with our core values and objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with donors, partners, and supporters to ensure sustained engagement and increased contributions.
- Identify and engage with potential high-net-worth individuals and corporations to support major fundraising campaigns and special initiatives.
- Design and manage a diverse range of fundraising activities and donor programs aimed at attracting and retaining supporters.
- Lead a corporate giving program, including opportunities for volunteering, in-kind donations, grants, and sponsorships.
- Oversee all aspects of donation processing, including data management, reporting, and reconciliation to ensure operational excellence.
- Identify and resolve any issues that may impact the development efforts or overall organizational success.
- Lead and oversee all fundraising and donor engagement events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as development, marketing, or business administration; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in development, fundraising, and management within a nonprofit or similar organization.
- Proven success in managing relationships and securing funding from individuals, corporations, and government entities.
- Experience in leading teams, working independently, and driving cross-departmental initiatives to successful outcomes.
