Job Description
HumanHire is working with a family-owned construction company in Commack who is in need of a Temporary Senior Construction Accountant. This role is ideal for someone who is retired or seeking a short-term accounting role. Full and part-time hours are available!
We offer:
- Pay: $50+/hr plus weekly pay
- Hours: M-F, onsite in Commack, and are open to 20-25 hours a week
Temporary Senior Construction Accountant Responsibilities
- Oversight of project budgeting, cash flow forecasting, gain-fade analysis, WIP analysis, ASC 606, overhead attributions, PNL and balance sheet management
- Ensure timely, accurate month-end closings and preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and relevant filings
- Manage AR processes to ensure timely collection of payments.
- Support governmental accounting practices as necessary, ensuring all reporting requirements are met.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Temporary Senior Construction Accountant Experience
- Experience in construction accounting processes including job costing, managing AR/AP processes, WIP billing, etc.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and tools; proficiency in QuickBooks is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability in financial statement preparation and account reconciliation.
- Excellent financial acumen with strong analytical skills to interpret complex data effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
