Job Description
HumanHire has partnered with one of the largest medical centers in NYC in search of a Temporary Medical Biller. You’ll be responsible for accurately coding medical procedures and handling insurance claims.
This will be a 2-3 month temporary assignment starting ASAP!
What we offer:
- Position:Â Temporary Medical Biller
- Location:Â New York, NY
- Pay:Â $27-30/hour (weekly pay!)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm (HYBRID, only 2 days in office!)
- Benefits:Â Health, Vision, Dental, PTO
Responsibilities:
- Code medical procedures accurately based on patient records.
- Submit insurance claims promptly and follow up on any delays or denials.
- Check insurance coverage and get necessary approvals for treatments.
- Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and staff to resolve billing questions.
- Keep up-to-date with coding rules and billing procedures.
- Help with other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in medical billing.
- Knowledge of coding systems like ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS.
- Comfortable using medical software and electronic health records.
