Job Description
HumanHire has partnered with leading medical group on Long Island in search of a Medical Biller. You’ll be responsible for verifying insurance, updating patient information, analyzing reports for coding, and ensures timely claim submission.
What we offer:
- Position:Â Medical Biller
- Location:Â Mineola, NY -Â Hybrid!
- Pay:Â $30/hr
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
- Benefits:Â Health, Vision, Dental, PTO 401k match, Bonus opportunities, & more
Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance for patient encounters and update patient demographics and insurance information in the system
- Track high-value or emergency claims and ensure timely submission of claims and billing reports
- Analyze reports for accurate coding and complete no-fault and workers' compensation forms
- Run daily charge entry reports to ensure accuracy
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in medical billing surgical & physician is highly preferred
- Knowledge of coding systems like ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS.
- Comfortable using medical software and electronic health records.
