Insurance Authorization Specialist
We are seeking an Insurance Authorization Specialist to manage surgical approvals for complex cases, including Workers’ Compensation, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Personal Injury Protection, and out-of-network carriers. This role involves coordinating with attorneys, adjusters, and insurance providers to secure timely authorizations and prevent surgical delays.

Insurance Authorization Specialist Responsibilities:
- Obtain and track authorizations for surgical cases.
- Review clinical and legal documents (e.g., operative notes, letters of medical necessity).
- Communicate with attorneys, adjusters, and case managers.
- Handle denied authorizations and appeals.
- Maintain accurate EMR records and stay current on WC/PIP regulations.
Insurance Authorization Specialist Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience with medical/surgical authorizations (WC, MVA, PIP preferred)
- Knowledge of out-of-network processes, medical terminology, and surgical procedures
- Strong organizational and communication skills; bilingual a plus
