HumanHire is partnered with a large business services firm in search of a Staff Accountant for their office in Garden City, NY.
The Staff Accountant will support the month-end and year-end close process, including account reconciliations and consolidation activities. This individual will prepare and review financial statements, analyze account activity and variances, and assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.

- Salary:Â $70,000-85,000Â per year
- Hours:Â Monday- Friday, 8:30AM- 5:30PM

Staff Accountant Responsibilities
- Support the month-end and year-end close process, including account reconciliations and preparation of financial statements.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, research discrepancies, and ensure financial records are accurate and complete.
- Review financial results and account activity, identifying variances and providing supporting analysis to management.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and annual audit activities as needed.
- Help improve accounting processes and procedures while collaborating with team members to maintain an efficient and accurate accounting function.
Staff Accountant Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required)
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
