Job Description
HumanHire is partnering with a rapidly growing healthcare organization located in Long Island, NY, in search of a Sr. Controller. This organization operates over 25 locations and is dedicated to providing exceptional cancer care through community-based treatment centers.
The Sr. Controller will report directly to the CFO and lead a team of accounting professionals. This individual will work closely with the executive leadership, including practice and operations teams, to manage financial operations across multiple service lines.
What We Offer:
- Salary:Â $150,000 - $200,000 per year
- Location:Â Long Island, NY
- Benefits:Â Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, and generous PTO
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the executive team to ensure accurate accounting, revenue recognition, and financial reporting across multiple service lines
- Oversee and manage the month-end close process, working closely with clinical practice leaders
- Produce and present Monthly Operating Reports for senior management and leadership teams
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP for financial records
- Review staff work for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare ad-hoc internal and external financial reports and analyses
- Manage external audit processes, working closely with independent auditors
- Supervise the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and consolidation activities
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to streamline operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Accounting, MBA preferred
- Over 10 years of experience in Accounting & Finance
- Healthcare experience, preferably within a provider based setting.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with overseeing audits and financial analysis
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills
- CPA certification preferred
