HumanHire is partnered with a rapidly growing medical equipment company seeking a Purchasing & Logistics Manager to lead procurement, inventory strategy, and global logistics operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining product availability, managing overseas supplier relationships, and driving efficiency across the supply chain.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee purchasing activities across domestic and international vendors, with a strong focus on Asia-based manufacturers
- Manage inventory planning using forecasting tools to align supply with demand and minimize stockouts or excess inventory
- Create, issue, and track purchase orders within NetSuite, ensuring alignment with sales forecasts and open orders
- Monitor supplier production schedules and proactively address delays related to seasonality, capacity, or global events
- Lead import logistics operations including container shipments, freight coordination, and customs processes
- Partner with freight forwarders, carriers, and warehouse teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
- Track shipments and provide accurate ETA updates to internal stakeholders
- Maintain clean and accurate purchasing and inventory data within ERP systems
- Supervise a data entry coordinator responsible for order updates, supplier communication, and shipment tracking
- Manage full-cycle international shipping, including FCL and LCL shipments, documentation, and customs clearance
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain management
- Hands-on experience with international sourcing and global freight operations
- Proficiency with ERP systems, ideally NetSuite and inventory planning tools like Streamline
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
