Job Description
HumanHire has partnered with a fast growing manufacturing company looking for a Estimator located in Ronkonkoma, NY.
We are seeking candidates with 3 years of industry experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving and confirming specifications, plan press layouts, and working with production supervisors and management as needed.
- Position: Estimator
- Location: Ronkonkoma, NY
- Pay: Up to $80,000/yr
- Benefits: Health, Dental, 401k
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Estimator Responsibilities
- Verify specifications in "Requests for Quote" forms and pricing requests.
- Plan press layouts, production methods, and coordinate with sales and customer service.
- Source competitive vendor pricing and assist with technical project inquiries.
- Use estimating tools to develop cost-effective and profitable estimates.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Planning & Materials Manager on final pricing.
- Maintain documentation and suggest process improvements for efficiency and quality
Estimator Qualifications
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong math skills: fractions, percentages, reading a ruler and basic math
- Familiar with printing/folding carton equipment
