Peer Recovery Specialists play a central role, using lived experience to support individuals and families navigating substance use recovery. What’s In It for You
- Pay: $25/hour
- Location: Chappaqua, NY
- Schedule: Monday – Friday OR Tuesday – Saturday

Peer Support Specialist Responsibilities
- Engage with individuals and families affected by substance use
- Share personal lived experience to build trust and support recovery
- Assist clients in developing individualized recovery plans
- Provide support through in-person meetings, phone, text, and group sessions
- Teach recovery tools, wellness strategies, and coping skills
- Advocate for client needs, including housing, healthcare, transportation, and legal resources
- Facilitate or co-lead support groups
- Provide crisis support with calm and understanding
- Collaborate with partner agencies to strengthen support networks
- Maintain documentation, data tracking, and reports
Peer Support Specialist Qualifications
- Personal or family experience with substance use recovery
- Strong communication, listening, and advocacy skills
- Flexible schedule availability
- CRPA or NYCPS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- High school diploma required
- 2+ years of peer coaching or advocacy experience
