A prominent healthcare organization in the greater NYC area is looking for a Medical Payment Poster to join its high-performing physician billing team in Melville, NY. Medical Payment Poster Responsibilties:
- Process and apply payments from electronic transfers and lockbox batches to the correct patient accounts, using invoice references.
- Reconcile daily deposits and accurately post adjustments or payments from billing vendors and collection firms.
- Investigate credit balances, manage unapplied funds, and resolve denial issues while maintaining proper account documentation.
Medical Payment Poster Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in physician billing or payment posting
- Strong understanding of EOBs, 835 electronic remittance files, and ANSI code sets
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Word and comfort working in billing systems
