Job Description
HumanHire is partnering with a leading healthcare organization to hire a Medical Writer for the Research, Innovation & Education department, which advances research education, trainee development, and grant writing. This role involves supporting grant proposals, publishing research, and mentoring.
Compensation: $95,000–$110,000/year
Location: Queens, NY (hybrid/remote flexibility)

Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality scientific documents, including abstracts and full manuscripts, by analyzing and interpreting complex data.
- Manage the review, approval, submission, and publication of research documents.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of educational and scientific programs, including publication strategies.
- Collaborate with investigators and biostatisticians to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
- Draft documents in compliance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Facilitate collaboration among internal teams to ensure consensus on content and document acceptability.
- Support strategic meetings with stakeholders, managing outputs effectively.
- Oversee outsourced writing projects and vendor management when applicable.
- Synthesize, analyze, and present scientific information in a clear and impactful manner.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in life sciences preferred (e.g., Master’s degree or higher).
- Experience in medical education or a related field.
- Strong background in content development and management.
- Proficient in analytical thinking and detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience mentoring or teaching others in medical writing is a plus.
