Dermatology Medical Assistant - Start Immediately!

A rapidly growing dermatology practice in the West Islip area is seeking a temporary Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative functions. The role offers hands-on experience in a specialty care setting with opportunities for long-term growth.

What's in it for you:
  • Location: West Islip, NY
  • Pay Rate: $20–$23/hour 
  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday's 9am-3pm (Every other Monday off!)

Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Prepare exam rooms and escort patients to appointments
  • Record vital signs and update patient medical histories
  • Assist physicians during procedures and exams
  • Perform suture removals, dressing changes, and prescription call-ins
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system
  • Collect and process lab specimens
  • Return patient calls and schedule follow-up visits
  • Support general office tasks as needed

Medical Assistant Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
  • Dermatology experience preferred
  • MA certification not required!
