Job Description
HumanHire is partnered with one of the top hospitals in Queens in search of a Medicaid Eligibility Investigator Supervisor.
This role ensures that all uninsured and underinsured patients are accurately assessed through financial interviews and application processes conducted by staff in the hospital’s financial office.
What we offer:
- Salary:Â $75,000 - $80,000/year
- Location:Â Queens, NY
- Schedule:Â Monday-Friday, alternating weekends
- Benefits:Â comprehensive benefits package, including a 401(k) plan
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive training for new hires and ongoing support for existing staff, including updates on procedural changes.
- Review patient accounts to verify existing insurance coverage or determine eligibility for NYS Medicaid, Marketplace, or hospital financial aid programs.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates in all relevant computer systems used for application submissions and case follow-up.
- Conduct bedside interviews and arrange follow-up appointments with patients to collect documentation required for applications.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Required:Â Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Preferred:Â Associate degree or higher.
- 2 to 5 years of supervisory experience
- Experience with Medicaid processes or third-party insurance verification
