Job Description
We are partnering with a local manufacturer in their search for an Engineering Manager. Located in the Islip area, the ideal candidate will come with 5+ years of supervisory experience.
- Oversee and manage a team of manufacturing engineers.
- Develop, refine, and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Estimate production timelines, labor needs, equipment, materials, and costs for informed decision-making.
- Employ computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as Catia V5, to create 3D models from 2D blueprints and design manufacturing strategies.
- Produce precise CAD drawings and product specifications that accurately reflect customer expectations.
- Organize and prioritize work assignments in conjunction with other departments.
- Establish manufacturing tolerances and resolve technical challenges through problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Provide technical assistance to the shop floor and subcontractors on all engineering matters.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred
- 5+ years of experience as a manufacturing engineer
- Expertise in Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing methodologies
- Proficient in MS Office, CAD, CATIA 5, ERP Systems, and Epicor 10
