Job Description
HumanHire is partnered with a publicly traded, growing banking institution in search of a Loan Servicing Specialist for one of their branches in the Bronx. This organization has been around for 60+ years and has multiple locations throughout the NYC Metro area!
The Loan Servicing Specialist will primarily be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all loan servicing activities. We are seeking candidates with 1-2 years of loan servicing experience to join our growing team!
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM (no weekends)
- Salary: Up to $50,000 per year
- Benefits: Generous PTO, 401K, Health, Vision, Dental, and more!
Responsibilities:
- Process and finalize paid loans for distribution
- Prepare payoff demand statements and manage and track all loan documents, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed
- Process and post loan payments to accounts, monitoring account balances to ensure compliance
- Monitor and track insurance coverage, assist with escrow disbursements, and oversee the collection & payment of taxes and insurance
- Verify and update information within the loan servicing system, handle loan related issues, and respond to customer inquiries
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of loan experience required
- Associate degree required
- Knowledge of mortgage loan closing policies, procedures, and documents
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to clearly communicate (written and verbal)
- Must possess analytical skills
