Job Description
HumanHire is partnered with a top ranked national Law Firm to find a Legal Assistant to support the firms growing Patent Prosecution group.
In this role, the Legal Assistant will be responsible for supporting attorneys, patent agents, and paralegals with the preparation and filing of U.S. and international patent applications, managing correspondence with the USPTO and foreign associates, maintaining accurate records and files, and tracking critical deadlines.

- Pay: $50-65K Base Salary plus OT and Bonus

Legal Assistant Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file U.S. patent applications, responses, and other USPTO correspondence under attorney supervision.
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of PCT and foreign filings, including communicating with international agents and managing filing requirements.
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic patent files and records.
- Track due dates and assist with docket follow-up to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Process incoming and outgoing correspondence with the USPTO and foreign associates.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of Legal Assistant experience
- Patent or IP experience highly preferred
