Authorization Specialist – Orthotics & Prosthetics

We’re partnering with one of the nation’s leading Orthotics & Prosthetics providers to hire an Authorization Specialist for their Boston office. This is a full-time opportunity offering stability, growth, and the chance to make an impact in a patient-centered healthcare organization.

What an Authorization Specialist Does
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations for patient care.
  • Accurately submit and track insurance claims.
  • Review clinician documentation for compliance and accuracy.
  • Handle front office duties including clerical tasks, mail, and document preparation.
  • Manage petty cash, office supplies, and financial documentation.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments for patients and practitioners.
  • Generate reports on revenue, patient flow, and operational performance.

Authorization Specialist Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of medical office experience, insurance verification, or administrative work.
  • Knowledge of medical billing and insurance reimbursement processes.
  • Strong communication skills for working with patients, staff, and insurance providers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical billing software.
