Authorization Specialist – Orthotics & Prosthetics
We’re partnering with one of the nation’s leading Orthotics & Prosthetics providers to hire an Authorization Specialist for their Bronx office. This is a full-time opportunity offering stability, growth, and the chance to make an impact in a patient-centered healthcare organization.

What an Authorization Specialist Does
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations for patient care.
- Accurately submit and track insurance claims.
- Review clinician documentation for compliance and accuracy.
- Handle front office duties including clerical tasks, mail, and document preparation.
- Manage petty cash, office supplies, and financial documentation.
- Assist with scheduling appointments for patients and practitioners.
- Generate reports on revenue, patient flow, and operational performance.
Authorization Specialist Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical office experience, insurance verification, or administrative work.
- Knowledge of medical billing and insurance reimbursement processes.
- Strong communication skills for working with patients, staff, and insurance providers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical billing software.
