Environmental Project Manager – Remediation & Hazardous Materials Qualifications:
Â
- 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting or hazardous materials management
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related discipline
- OSHA HAZWOPER (40-hour), 30-hour, or 10-hour certifications required
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) license strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision
- Strong knowledge of field operations, environmental site assessments, and remediation practices
Environmental Project Manager – Remediation & Hazardous Materials Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee hazardous materials and environmental remediation projects from initiation through completion
- Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables in compliance with client and regulatory requirements
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring strong communication and relationship management
- Lead field teams and delegate responsibilities to junior staff; perform quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reviews of deliverables
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and programs
- Prepare, review, and finalize technical reports, proposals, and documentation
- Maintain project profitability through effective planning and resource allocation
