Job Description
HumanHire is partnered with a top, leading global apparel manufacturing company to help them find a Fabric Manager - R&D for their NYC office.
The Fabric Manager will be responsible for leading all R&D efforts related to the development and sourcing of new fabrics & trims for apparel products.
We are seeking candidates with 4-5 years of fashion/design experience to join our growing team!
- Salary: Up to $100,000 per year
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-5:30PM

Fabric Manager - R&D Responsibilities:
- Work closely with vendors and suppliers to source fabrics and trims for seasonal collections
- Conduct market research to identify fabric trends
- Manage fabric approvals, pricing, PLM data, and fabric library
- Work closely with Quality Assurance and other departments to test fabrics and trims for quality
- Oversee wash development and attend trade shows as needed
Fabric Manager - R&D Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field required
- 4-5 years of fashion/design experience required, knits and woven experience highly preferred
- Proficiency in Adobe Create Suite
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and presentation skills
