We are seeking an experienced General Manager of to lead terminal cargo operations and oversee union workforce activities in a fast-paced port environment. This leadership role is responsible for driving safety, customer service, production, and labor relations while ensuring efficient and high-quality operations.

We are seeking an experienced General Manager of to lead terminal cargo operations and oversee union workforce activities in a fast-paced port environment. This leadership role is responsible for driving safety, customer service, production, and labor relations while ensuring efficient and high-quality operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise clerks, chief clerks, foremen, and union workforce personnel
- Manage daily terminal and stevedore operations to ensure safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction
- Develop and implement operational improvements to increase efficiency and service quality
- Assign labor and resources based on operational demands
- Support and enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance
- Maintain positive labor relations and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements
- Participate in hiring, employee evaluations, coaching, and workforce development
- Oversee payroll accuracy, inventory management, and operational reporting
- Communicate daily operational updates to senior leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine, Logistics Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred
- Equivalent experience in terminal, logistics, maintenance, repair, or union operations preferred
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in maintenance, repair, terminal operations, or union environments
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Knowledge of safety regulations and operational best practices
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment
- Strong customer service and labor relations focus
- Technical knowledge of maintenance and repair operations preferred
