Job Description
Job Summary: We are partnering with an Industrial Machinery Manufacturer in their search for a Director of Manufacturing. Located in the Hauppauge area, the ideal candidate will come with a strong CNC machining foundation paired with manufacturing engineering experience.

- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with the company's overall business goals.
- Oversee daily operations, including production planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize workflows.
- Possess a deep understanding of CNC machining principles, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Stay current with advancements in manufacturing technology and equipment.
- Manage a team of manufacturing professionals, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and accountability.
- Recruit, train, and develop manufacturing personnel to ensure a highly skilled workforce.
- Address and effectively resolve conflicts within the manufacturing team.
- Implement and maintain a robust quality management system to ensure consistent adherence to industry standards and customer specifications.
- Oversee regulatory compliance and ensure all manufacturing processes adhere to safety protocols.
- Proven experience with CAM software and CNC programming, with a strong understanding of Fanuc controls.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (highly preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in CNC machining operations (lathe and mill), including programming, setup, and operation.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent decision-making abilities with a focus on achieving business objectives.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant manufacturing software.
