Job Description
HumanHire is partnered with a top, leading global apparel manufacturing company to help them find an Apparel Designer for their office in NYC.
The Apparel Designer will be responsible for creating CAD sketches of clothing styles and overseeing the creation, development, and execution of the design process.
We are seeking candidates with 6+ years of activewear and children's design experience within the fashion industry to join our growing team!
- Salary: Up to $100,000 per year
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-5:30PM

Apparel Designer Responsibilities:
- Research market trends in style, fit, and color
- Create and review CAD sketches of clothing styles and technical packs
- Oversee the design process while ensuring alignment with brand vision and objectives
- Provide updates on key milestones, deadlines, fabric requirements, and sourcing timelines
- Participate in fitting meetings and offer feedback as needed
- Collaborate with other design, sales, and merchandising teams for line reviews, presentations, and sampling
- Approve styles, materials, trims, and colors
Apparel Designer Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field required
- 6+ years of activewear and children's clothing/apparel design required
- Proficiency in Adobe Create Suite
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and presentation skills
