Job Description
HumanHire has partnered with a leading healthcare organization dedicated to providing outstanding patient care and support. We are seeking a Credit Analyst to join their team. The Credit Analyst ensures timely and accurate resolution of credit balance accounts.
Location:Â Melville, NY
Pay Range:Â $25-27/hr, based on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Review and resolve credit balances, including undistributed and over posted amounts.
- Identify coordination of benefit issues, contact patients, and resolve discrepancies.
- Rebill to the appropriate payer when necessary.
- Prepare refunds for overpayments and erroneous payments.
- Fully resolve each account, including billing to all relevant payers.
- Complete required documentation for refund processing.
- Handle telephone inquiries related to overpayments.
- Address third-party correspondence and denials related to refunds and credits.
- Meet specific deadlines and manage workload efficiently.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
- Experience in healthcare billing, reimbursement, or collections
- Proficiency with Epic systems.
- Strong understanding of ICD-9/10 and CPT coding.
- Comprehensive knowledge of third-party billing, including the use of modifiers and COB rules.
- Familiarity with third-party payer websites.
- Ability to read and interpret explanations of benefits (EOBs) accurately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
