Job Description
HumanHire is partnered with a national financial services organization to find a Collections Specialist to join their growing team in Rome, NY.
The Collections Specialist will be responsible for managing overdue accounts, contacting customers to arrange payments, and maintaining positive customer relationships while minimizing bad debt.
We Offer:
- Pay: $20-22/hour plus weekly pay and OT!
- Great Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO
- Hybrid Flexibility: 1-2 days remote weekly after training period
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage a portfolio of overdue accounts and ensure that customers are contacted within the designated timeframes.
- Contact customers through phone, email, and written correspondence to remind them of outstanding balances and negotiate payment arrangements.
- Work closely with customers to negotiate and establish payment plans that meet both their needs and the bank's requirements.
- Address customer inquiries regarding overdue accounts, clarify terms and conditions, and resolve payment issues professionally.
- Accurately document all communications, agreements, and payment activity within the bank's collections system.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of Collections or Accounts Receivable experience
- Experience in a professional services environment, financial services experience preferred
