Job Description
The Medical Assistant provides clinical and laboratory support in an outpatient oncology setting. Responsibilities include patient intake, diagnostic testing, specimen processing, assisting providers, and accurate documentation.

- Pay Rate:Â $23-28/hr (based on experience)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8.5-hour shifts (7:30 AM–6:00 PM)
- Location:Â Yorktown Heights, NY

Medical Assistant Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake, vitals, medical history, and document concerns
- Perform venipuncture, urine/stool collection, rapid testing, and EKGs
- Prepare exam rooms, assist providers, and support in-office procedures
- Clean and maintain medical instruments and lab equipment
- Operate lab equipment, process specimens, and document tests in EMR/LIS systems
- Coordinate specimen packaging and shipment to reference labs
- Communicate effectively with providers, staff, and patients
Medical Assistant Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant Certification required
- Current BLS Certification
- 1+ year outpatient or lab experience
- Experience with EMR/LIS systems
