HumanHire is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join a well-established outpatient clinic. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a patient-facing environment, keeps things organized under pressure, and understands that first impressions matter.

Compensation: $22.00/hr
Location: Must be open to floating between multiple locations in Suffolk County
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 5/8.5s- (7-7)
Stability: Consistent weekday hours in an outpatient setting
Team Environment: Supportive clinical and administrative team that values collaboration and respect
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check in patients with professionalism and warmth
  • Answer phones, manage messages, and route calls appropriately
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance information
  • Collect co-pays and process payments as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Address patient questions, concerns, and basic administrative needs

Experience needed:

  • 1+ year of experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer-facing role

  • Prior medical office or healthcare experience strongly preferred

Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Professional demeanor with a patient-first mindset
  • Basic computer and EMR proficiency
