Job Description
HumanHire is partnered with a well-established, multi-site healthcare organization seeking a Medical Assistant to support a busy outpatient practice. This role centers on patient intake, clinical assistance, basic diagnostic procedures, and working closely with providers in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Facilitate patient intake and accurately capture medical histories and visit details
- Obtain and process lab specimens, including blood draws
- Measure and document vital signs
- Prepare patients for exams and minor procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and proper sterilization of clinical tools and exam rooms
- Assist providers during patient visits and in-office procedures
- Perform basic diagnostic testing such as EKGs and other point-of-care tests
- Support clinical documentation and data entry within the electronic medical record system
- Provide general support to clinical and administrative staff as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems is a plus
- Understanding of infection control practices and proper use of protective equipment
- Ability to remain active throughout the day, including standing, bending, and computer use
- Ability to lift moderate weight when needed
- Flexibility to commute between nearby office locations as required
