Chief Financial Officer
HumanHire has been retained to support a leading manufacturer with operations across multiple domestic and international facilities to find a Chief Financial Officer to own the full finance function and serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team. This leader will guide capital allocation, sharpen cost and margin performance, and build the financial infrastructure needed to support the next stage of growth, both organic and through acquisition. The CFO will work hand in hand with plant and commercial leadership to translate operating results into clear decisions.
What You'll Own
Operational Finance
- Build reporting that ties plant floor metrics directly to financial outcomes.
- Partner with plant managers to drive cost reduction, improve yield and throughput, and tighten inventory control.
- Support pricing strategy, procurement decisions, and the S&OP process with sound financial analysis.
Team and Systems
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high performing finance and accounting team.
- Oversee ERP and financial systems, with responsibility for IT in partnership with operations.
Controllership and Treasury
- Own the external audit relationship.
- Lead accounting, cost accounting, and the monthly close with a focus on speed and accuracy.
- Strengthen internal controls and risk management across all locations.
- Manage liquidity, banking relationships, and cash forecasting.
Tax
- Direct all tax planning and compliance in coordination with outside advisors, covering federal, state, and any international obligations.
Board, Investor, and Lender Communication
- Manage credit facilities, covenant reporting, and ongoing lender communication.
- Prepare materials for capital raises, refinancing, or strategic transactions as needed.
- Present monthly and quarterly results to ownership and the board with clear commentary on performance drivers.
Strategy and Capital Allocation
- Lead acquisition modeling, diligence, and post close integration.
- Evaluate expansion opportunities, including new plants, capacity investments, automation projects, and entry into adjacent markets.
- Structure and negotiate major commercial agreements, supply contracts, real estate, and insurance programs.
- Shape the company's multiyear financial plan and capital roadmap alongside the CEO and board.
Planning and Forecasting
- Set financial targets with operations and sales leaders and hold the business accountable to them.
- Deliver rolling forecasts that give leadership an accurate, timely view of revenue, margin, and cash.
- Run the annual budgeting process for operating and capital spend across every site and business unit.
What You Bring
- 12+ years of finance leadership experience, with a strong foundation in industrial or manufacturing companies.
- 4+ years in a top finance seat (CFO, VP Finance, or divisional CFO) at a multisite operation.
- Hands on command of cost accounting, standard costing, inventory valuation, and capex planning.
- Track record of completing and integrating acquisitions.
- Experience working with private equity ownership and lenders strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Oracle strongly preferred.
- CPA or MBA preferred.
- A practical, operationally minded leader who is equally comfortable in the boardroom and on the plant floor.

- $275k-$325K base, plus target bonus and equity package.
