Job Description
We’re hiring a Certified Orthotic Fitter on behalf of a leading East Coast orthotics provider. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with full-time hours, clinical autonomy, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes. - Location:Â New York, NY, 10021
- Compensation: $65,000 + sign on bonus & annual reviews with cost-of-living increases
- Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance, 401(k) with employer match, disability Insurance, accrued PTO (2 weeks per year), paid holidays
- Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30am–5:00pm | On-call rotation
Responsibilities
- Conduct fittings for patients requiring medical devices, ensuring comfort and proper functionality.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assess patient needs accurately.
- Provide clear explanations to patients regarding the fitting process and care instructions for their devices.
- Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to aseptic techniques during fittings.
- Document patient information accurately, including fitting details and any relevant medical history.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans for patients.
Qualifications
- COF certification by ABC or BOC (required)
- At least 2 years of experience in orthotic fitting and patient care
