The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving business development strategy, regional growth, pitch/RFP execution, and marketing initiatives for the firm's Texas and West Coast offices and key practice groups.

- Serve as the lead marketing contact for the Austin, San Francisco, and Seattle offices to develop, track, and advance business development plans and manage marketing budgets
- Lead RFP responses, pitch meeting preparation, and outcome tracking across assigned practice and industry groups
- Facilitate regular business development meetings with office attorneys and group leaders to provide strategic guidance, lawyer coaching, and market insights
- Oversee office- and practice-initiated events, association engagements, sponsorships, and promotional material production in collaboration with marketing and communications teams
- Conduct market research, trendspotting, and competitor analysis to identify short- and long-term growth opportunities and assist with firm strategic plan initiatives
- Minimum 5+ years of law firm business development experience, with demonstrated leadership in RFP responses and pitch presentations
- Strong knowledge of the Texas legal market (West Coast legal market knowledge preferred)
- Familiarity with environmental law/practice groups (or the ability to learn quickly) and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
