We’re partnering with a renowned non-profit organization based in Harlem in their search for a Licensed Clinician to join their community-based behavioral health team. This role is a full-time opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and adolescents in foster care. The ideal candidate will bring clinical experience, a strong foundation in evidence-based therapies, and a passion for supporting youth and families through trauma-informed care.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual, family, and group counseling to children and adolescents in foster care.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to client needs.
  • Deliver skill-building and psychoeducational services, including psychiatric support and wellness education.
  • Collaborate closely with families, case planning teams, medical providers, and other service partners.
  • Conduct regular safety and wellness assessments to support client progress and crisis intervention efforts.
  • Attend IEP meetings, school conferences, and service plan reviews as needed.
  • Participate in weekly clinical meetings to share updates on mental health and educational progress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with agency and state guidelines.
  • Provide on-call crisis support for children, adolescents, and foster parents.
  • Supervise and mentor social work interns.
  • Ensure all services align with Article 29-I regulations and agency quality standards.

Requirements:
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) required.
  • Active LMSW license in New York State.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ post-graduate experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is required.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, mental health diagnoses, and substance use treatment.
  • Experience with psychotropic medications and understanding of side effects and safety considerations.
  • Proficient in therapeutic models including CBT and TF-CBT.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain cultural sensitivity.
  • Candidates with experience in the foster care system and knowledge of NYS child welfare regulations are highly valued.
