Job Description
HumanHire is partnered with a top, leading global apparel manufacturing company to help them find an Assistant Technical Designer for their office in NYC.
The Assistant Technical Designer will be responsible for providing technical support to the product life cycle from sketch through pre-production and production sampling stages.
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 1 year of fashion/apparel design experience to join our growing team!
- Salary: Up to $55,000 per year
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-5:30PM

Assistant Technical Designer Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Design Team to update measurements and specifications for tech packs
- Review samples for specs, pattern shape, and construction
- Maintain communications with overseas vendors regarding garment construction and production
- Provide assistance during fit sessions and track comments and revisions
- Track and follow up on pending fit and pre-production approval to ensure timely delivery
Assistant Technical Designer Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field required
- 1 year minimum of apparel design experience required, activewear and children's clothing/apparel design experience highly preferred
- Proficiency in Adobe Create Suite
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and presentation skills
