Administrative Assistant to the CEO

A nonprofit organization is seeking an Administrative Assistant to the CEO. This role provides direct support to the CEO through calendar management, meeting coordination, board support, and communication with staff and external partners. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information.
What’s in It for You

  • Location: Newburgh, NY (onsite)

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Pay Rate: Up to $26.00 per hour
Administrative Assistant Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the CEO

  • Manage the CEO’s calendar, meetings, and correspondence

  • Coordinate board meetings, agendas, minutes, and governance records

  • Track contracts, assist with renewals, and manage expense reporting

  • Act as liaison between the CEO and staff, board members, and external contacts

  • Support proposals, grants, and credentialing renewals

  • Provide backup guidance to staff when the CEO is unavailable

  • Assist with general communications and other administrative tasks as needed
Administrative Assistant Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred

  • 5+ years of administrative support experience (nonprofit or human services a plus)

  • Experience supporting board meetings and governance records

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Bilingual English/Spanish or ASL skills a plus
