Job Description
HumanHire is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a one of the world's largest beauty products & fragrance distributors. Our client is an industry leading distribution company looking to hire an experienced individual in their Hauppauge, NY office!
We are seeking an AP Specialist with 3+ years of Accounting experience! This is a hot role and they are hiring quickly!
What’s in it for you?
- Pay: $60-65k base salary + bonus potential
- Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, 401K match up to 5%, PTO
- Work Model: Fully Onsite / Monday - Friday
Responsibilities:
- Processing accounts and incoming/outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies/procedures
- Partnering with the Controller to maintain accurate financial records
- Performing day to day financial transactions
- Preparing invoices and bank deposits
- Weekly check runs & daily AP postings to the general ledger
- Reconcile vendor accounts and monthly statements
- Encourage payment of invoices that are past due by calling clients and issuing bill reminders
- Understanding of expense accounts and compliance issues
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of Accounting or Bookkeeping experience
- Experience with Accounts Payable processing
- Strong understanding of accounting software (Quickbooks, SAGE, Netsuite)
